One of today's jobs was to replace the charging port in an iphone 5s. Now Apple iphones have suffered terribly with charging problems ever since the iphone 3g and I was kind of hopeing that Apple may just have resolved there issues with the 5s, but clearly not. This 5s is just a few weeks old and the charging port has unexpectedly died.
Replacing the port is not for the feint hearted. We begin by removing the screen with islack tool to prevent damage to the expensive screen
The port itself is quite complicated to remove and installing the replacement is difficult with multiple brackets and connectors that you have to get to sit just right otherwise nothing sits straight. In our experience its always best to get the headphone jack to sit straight before you go pushing in to place all the other components.
We have replaced thousands of iphone charging docks, so if you have an iphone 4 /4s /5 or 5c and your phone stops charging please feel free to contact Dave TechGuy on 07926 459 560 or at www.foneservice.co.uk
